Edmonton Downtown Business Association
Downtown Farmers' Market

Breathing new life into a 120-year-old piece of history.
With only months to prep, the Edmonton Downtown Business Association rallied to produce a farmers’ market that had a long-standing history on 104th Street. Berlin used nostalgia to tie the brand closer to the roots of its origin, with hand-painted lettering as a nod to old roadside fruit and vegetable stands.
Out of 14 farmers’ markets in Edmonton and the surrounding area, the Downtown Farmers’ Market was also one of only two that allow dogs. This rare, dog-friendly distinction presented an opportunity for the DBA to own a highly loved and differentiating attribute.
The market’s return sparked excitement, with a vendor waitlist, extensive media coverage, and a renewed sense of connection for downtown Edmonton.
